Mo’Print – Denver – 2016
The Month of Printmaking, presented by The Invisible Museum.org, will be held in venues around Denver and the Front Range and beyond throughout March and April of 2016. Our goal is to generate a critical mass of printmaking exhibitions and events happening in the Denver metropolitan area, and the Front Range region during this celebration.
This will be the second biennial Mo’Print event. The first, in 2014, saw enthusiastic attendance at over twenty five exhibitions, eleven panel discussions or other interactive events, and eighteen studio tours in seven Colorado cities with five partnering colleges/universities. Five of Denver’s art districts participated. We hope to expand on this involvement for 2016.
Mo’Print was awarded “Best Arts Marathon” in the 2014 Westword “Best of Denver”, and a signature Mo’Print show, “Open Press: Celebrating 25 Years of Printmaking” won “Best Snapshot of Denver Art.”
Those interested in participating in Mo’Print 2016, whether individual artists, print, letterpress or book binding studios, or galleries and museums are encouraged to go to http://moprint.org/ or inquire at the contacts listed above. The website is currently being updated, and a submission form for events and exhibitions is now up. January 25, 2016 is our listing deadline for the poster and printed materials. We are also actively recruiting volunteers in all areas. Please join us in this growing event!
