Invitation to Mo’ Print
Dear Friend of Printmaking,
We’d like to invite you to participate in the third biennial Month of Printmaking Denver, scheduled for March 2018. The Month of Printmaking Denver (Mo’Print) is a celebration of the art of making original prints created to inspire, educate and promote awareness through a variety of public events and exhibitions in Denver and neighboring communities.
In case you missed us in 2014 and 2016, here are a few highlights: We had five participating art districts: The 40 Arts West, ACAD, the Golden Triangle Museum District, RINO, and the Santa Fe Art District. There were multiple partnering colleges/universities that offered exhibitions, lectures, workshops and events. In 2016 more than 40 galleries exhibited everything from historic to contemporary prints and there were 25 programs and events sponsored by such organizations as the McNichols Civic Center Building, the Art Students League of Denver, the City of Lakewood, BMOCA and Meininger Art Supply. Mo’Print also hosted a Denver metropolitan Studio Tour and to wrap things up, a large format Steam Roller relief printing event at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.
Mo’Print received a Best of Denver 2014 accolade from Westword as the Best Arts Marathon, along with newspaper publications, backlinks and radio airtime.
Our goal is to generate a critical mass of printmaking exhibitions and events in Denver and the surrounding region during this month-long celebration. We invite you play a role in bringing these events to life once again.
January 15, 2018 will be our deadline for submitting event information to moprint.org to be included in our printed posters. We’re continuing work on developing new and updated submission forms on our website for this process however, we still ask you to submit your event to us as soon as possible.
Here are some ways you can participate:
- Host your exhibition and/or event in March/April 2018 and allow Mo’Print to promote it for you via social media. List your event in the Exhibitions/Events section by filling out the digital submission form. Your exhibition/event will be listed on our website and the poster free of charge.
- Volunteer to help with Mo’Print. We can always use another creative mind or pair of willing hands.
- Become a sponsor of a particular Mo’Print event. You or your company will be listed in our Sponsors section of the website and on our poster that gets widely distributed throughout Denver.
We encourage you to visit www.moprint.org where you can read more about prior Mo’Print happenings and watch interviews with printmaking artists. You may contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to working with you.
